What are faculty salaries?
Nursing faculty salaries vary depending on the type of program and length of appointment. Appointments are usually 12, 10 or 9 months. Salary is not the major reason that nurses choose to teach. Salaries are comparable to other faculty within the institutions but may be below the salaries that nurses earn with shift differentials and those that advanced practice nurses make in urban areas.
