Mentoring of new faculty members by more experienced colleagues is just one of the many ways schools of nursing help support new faculty members. Nursing education programs support the on-going development of their faculty to promote excellence in teaching, student advisement, and curriculum development. They support faculty in the development of additional teaching skills and in clinical practice to enhance student learning and professional development.
